I
first started playing the trumpet in the fifth grade. From
there, my interest in music grew. I started to learn the
bagpipes in 1990 from a Mr. Lee Collins in Salisbury, Connecticut.
I was able to master many tunes, but I had to leave my studies for
Navy boot camp in San Diego, California during the summer of 1992.
After boot camp and my Navy school I was transferred to Groton,
Connecticut for Submarine School. It was in Groton that I was
"discovered" by the band I played in. The Mystic Highland Bagpipe
Band.

I played with the band for over 12 years. I was
one of the most senior bagpipers.
I've played on the Great Wall of China and while stationed on the USS Alexandria SSN 757. What ever country I went to, I brought my bagpipes with me.
After the Navy I attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs.
Myself, along with two other student, formed the Celtic American
Cultural Club. I was President of the club for three years and
helped structure the club's mission statement and goals. The
club consists of bagpipers and Irish Dancers that perform for
University events and tri-state parades/ceremonies. I also
organized the first "Celtic Night" at the University. This
event included music, dancers, and other talents found at the
university that promoted Celtic awareness. It was the first
event of its kind and required much coordination between vendors and
performers. The club was also awarded third place, its first
two years in the event, in the home coming lip sync. This may
seem like a trivial college event, but we competed against 27 other
organizations. We also were awarded first place for homecoming
parade music display. Among other events, the club performed
for the Irish Prime Minister Taoiseach Berite Ahern, T.D. and
Secretary of State of the United Kingdom, along with the honourable
Thomas J. Dodd Jr. U.S. Senator from Connecticut. Locally, we
also participated in the first Mystic Irish Parade and received,
"Best Irish Music." I graduated college with three degrees, a
minor and a masters.
I
currently teach at Windham High School where I incorporate Celtic
History and music in my classroom as well as in other events.
Myself, along with other selected bagpipers, still play at events in
New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and beyond.
At every event and function I combine professionalism and
performance in every event from honorable dignitaries to weddings.
Bagpipes, bagpipe services. Wedding bagpipes.
